Listed in Who's Who In The World, Mr. Hofstetter practiced law for more than twenty years. Richard R. Hofstetter is now retired from the practice of law. During his career he gained experience in business related legal matters. He helped raise monies for businesses, emerging businesses, and charitable organizations. He negotiated and drafted contracts, joint ventures, mergers, de-mergers, and acquisitions between parties on five continents. He assisted businesses with their development, structure, operating, taxation, environmental, immigration, regulatory, and other issues. He even helped to reclaim property expropriated by the Nazis. Mr. Hofstetter is also a world class swimmer. He set American records as a varsity swimmer for Indiana University in the 1970's, and he later broke world records in the 50, 100, and 200 Meter Breaststroke in Master's competition. Mr. Hofstetter is currently teaching Business Law at Butler University's College of Business Administration in Indianapolis. Mr. Hofstetter has been licensed to practice law in all of the state courts in Indiana, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania, as well as, the US Federal District Courts in Indiana. He is fluent in German, and he was designated an 'Approved Counsel' by the Federal Republic of Germany. He has also been an American Arbitration Association qualified commercial arbitrator since 1989. Mr. Hofstetter is the author of numerous articles and books. Mr. Hofstetter received a law degree from Duke Law School in 1982 and a B.A. and an M.A. from Indiana University in 1978 and 1979 respectively. He earned high academic honors, and while at Duke, he was Editor and Senior Editor of Law and Contemporary Problems. Mr. Hofstetter is a member of the Indiana Tourism Council, the Brown County Convention and Visitor Commission, and the Indiana State Bar Association.
