    Doug Amber is now retired from the practice of law. During his law career, Mr. Amber litigated a wide variety of matters in both private practice and in public service. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Amber taught courses in American government and public policy at Purdue University Calumet.  Mr. Amber was licensed to practice law in all of the state courts in Indiana and Florida, as well as, the US Supreme Court; the US Courts of Appeals for the 7^th, 11^th, and Federal Circuits; the US Court of Federal Claims; the US Court of International Trade; the US Tax Court; the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and several US District Courts in Indiana & Florida.

    Mr. Amber was the author of numerous articles and books. His publication credits include:

• Cases & Materials on American Federalism, Second Edition. Purdue, 2000.

• "Combating Computer Insecurity: Twelve Practical Suggestions For Lawyers," RES GESTAE: The Journal of the Indiana State Bar Association , September, 1998.

• "Financial Roulette: Mathematical errors and inconsistencies in the Indiana Child Support Guidelines," RES GESTAE: The Journal of the Indiana State Bar Association, January, 1998.

• Investigative Techniques Related To Property Forfeiture. LCPO, 1993.

    Mr. Amber received a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from the University of Miami Law School and a B.A. from Indiana University. Mr. Amber was a member of the Indiana Public Defender Council, the Indiana State Bar Association, and the Lake County Bar Association.
